Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy Tm - the
deepest, most luxurious massage on the planet - has finally arrived in the Fox Valley!
The word Ashiatsu combines two Japanese words "ashi" - "foot" and "atsu" - "pressure".
The therapist will use clean, soft feet to apply deep, flowing strokes to the back
of your body while you comfortably relax on a massage table.
AOBTTm
was developed in Colorado and combines traditional Asian barefoot massage with Western
Swedish massage strokes. AOBTTm
is the only barefoot
modality recognized by American Massage Therapy Association. Ashiatsu Oriental Bar
Therapy was featured on the national television and Health and Allure magazines.
At this time only a limited number of therapists in Wisconsin are trained and certified
in AOBTTm.
At this time, Inna Mazur is the only therapist in the Fox Cities area trained a
certified in AOBTTm.
She completed all 4 levels of AOBTTm
training, including the elite Fusion Blend.
AOBTTm
is available at our office and on site.
We will use a portable bar system and a massage table to bring AOBT
Tm to
your workplace or special event, in lieu of traditional chair massage!

AOBTTm
has been described as the most luxurious deep tissue massage on the planet. In traditional
deep tissue massage the therapist uses knuckles, fists, forearms and elbows to apply
more pressure. The elbow is the strongest part of the human body and that's why
it works the best. However, a lot of people experience pain and discomfort when
the elbow is used. This problem is eliminated in AOBTTm.
When the therapist uses the feet, the contact surface is greater.
AOBT Tm
is NOT recommended if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, had a recent surgery
or have any serious health conditions.
Please contact
us to make sure that AOBT Tm
is right for you.
"I tried Ashiatsu after
looking for an alternative for a deep tissue massage. I've had numerous
massages throughout the years due to chronic back pain related to 2 bulging
discs. I've never received a massage that compares to Ashiatsu. The pressure is
also very well controlled depending upon your pain and done so very
professionally. I would highly recommend trying Ashiatsu."

Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy is a specialty technique that requires a lot of
additional training and underst anding of the human body. It is not something we
could learn from a DVD or a book or by having someone "show" it to us.
Our program is approved by National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage
and Bodywork (www.ncbtmb.com). Our instructors undergo vigorous
training for 6-12 months before they can teach others. The workshops are open
only to therapists licensed and certified by their state and are limited to 8
therapists to ensure personal attention. All seminars include a "guest client
practical" with the students practicing on "real" people until their technique
feels the same as the teacher's. We do not automatically become certified at the
end of the seminar. We have to go home and practice, practice, practice - and
take the exam when we are ready. Only after that we can take more advanced
classes. In addition, to deliver the technique properly, the therapist
needs to have MUCH higher than average fitness level - no core or upper body
strength makes for a shaky massage and a nervous client! All these guidelines
are in place to protect the clients' safety. At present time, there are only 2
therapists in the state of Wisconsin who completed the program.
Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy is available in Green Bay/De Pere area as well!
